PvP: Essential Tips
For the PvP (Player vs Player) mode, it is essential to know certain hidden or specific mechanics that are not always obvious.
FPS Limitation
This game mode is limited to 30 FPS. Consequently, certain weapons (depending on the game's internal functioning) deal significantly less damage than in modes operating at 60 FPS.
Managing Combat Power (CP) Deficit
In the Rookie Arena and Special Arena, it is crucial to check the Combat Power (CP) difference with the opposing team before attacking.
- If your opponent has more than 15% additional CP compared to your team, your team will suffer a statistics penalty.
- The larger the CP gap, the more severe the penalty. It is extremely difficult to win under these conditions.
- It is therefore strongly advised to avoid attacking in this scenario unless you are absolutely certain of your team's synergy to counter it.
Special Burst Gauge Generation
Certain Nikkes can generate Burst Gauge (Burst Gen) without having to hit an enemy with their weapon.
Notable Examples:
- Jackal: She generates 3.55% of Burst gauge each time her Skill 1 activates. This skill activates every 10 attacks taken, whether by Jackal or by the allies linked to her. This is a major asset against fast-firing weapons (SG, SMG, MG, and AR).
- Scarlet: She generates 0.45% of Burst gauge each time her Skill 2 activates. This skill has a 30% chance to trigger (counter-attack) for each hit she receives.
Calculating Charge Speed
The calculation of a Nikke's total Charge Speed, including bonuses from improvement lines (Equipment Substats), follows a specific rule.
Incorrect Method (Direct Sum)
You might think to simply add the values:
4.92 + 4.92 + 4.63 + 4.92 = 19.39%
Correct Method (Prior Addition and Rounding)
You must first add the improvement lines having the same value together. Then, you round up the result of each sum to the nearest whole number. Finally, you add the rounded results.
Correct Example:
- Sum of identical values: 4.92 + 4.92 + 4.92 = 14.76
- Rounding of the sum (14.76): 15
- Remaining single value: 4.63
- Rounding of the single value (4.63): 5
- Final Result: 15 + 5 = 20%
Note: Rounding is always done to the nearest whole number upwards (for example, 0.5 = 1).
